I want to personally welcome you to the NEWLY rebranded Nishmati, home of EMPOWERMENT for the spiritual woman. My goal since 2015 has been to teach women that the best way to SHINE their light in this world, is to fully integrate their faith within their HOME, WORK, and COMMUNITY. In this new year, I continue this mission the best way I know, which is realness, unfiltered and – surpassing boundaries.
Nishmati is NOT LIKE ANYthing out there AND what I do is NOT LIMITED TO the religious box CALLED “WOMEN’S MINISTRY” or any other religious jargon, Jewish sect or even any Christian denomination. I do not care for the FAKE and I especially do not care for the overly religious “holier are thou” type of people or mess/debates that often come with spiritual teachers and organizations.
I am not here to compete with you, your “ministry”, or anyone else. If anything I would like to help you become the best you can be. I am in my own zone- embracing my own purpose and I wish for you to do the same. Let’s stop looking at each other as competition and start raising each other up. This is why EMPOWERMENT is my motto. MY goal with Nishmati is not just to teach women about g-d, anyone can do that – just look at the thousands of women’s conferences, yearly retreats, and workshops that you go to. You want to leave changed, but yet find your way back at these same places every year, wasting money- crying and unchanged… my goal is truly showing women how to embrace all things for the purpose of spiritual growth.
The mentality of “embracing anything” is a powerful thing. It allows one to come out of any trial, situation or tribulation – a winner, a conqueror, a warrior, a woman of valor- who does not run to gossip or cry every time she encounters a trial. “Embracing” means to search her innermost being for calmness, peace and above all things- knowledge of who she is – a woman with a purpose who knows her destiny.
I don’t need fancy things to teach you this or a conference or tv show. Your “change” depends on one person -YOU. If you go to a conference and leave changed, Baruch Hashem! If you listen to Hashem in your bedroom and get up changed, Baruch Hashem! See, I have nothing wrong with “using” these things like conferences or classes, g-d will use them to help people, but I will never be limited to them because they are physical things that are only meant for a season.
I am on a spiritual path with my creator that goes beyond the physical and so are you. If you hold on to these physical items – without growing from them, you will never actually grow. You will only be bound to them. The true purpose of us providing these places of worship, conferences, products, and studies- are for you to grasp them while you can, learn from them and then move on. If you don’t, you will not spiritually grow. And that my friend, is why you are always at the same places each year with the same problems, crying your poor eyes out at someone’s conference, shoulder or somebody’s ministry table.
I have had ministry leaders sort of mad at me or confused at my logic because I stop events after they were successful. “Why on earth would you not keep at this, don’t you understand it makes money, it grows your ministry?”, they ask. Simple my friend, because Hashem gave me a plan, a purpose and when the purpose is fulfilled, it is now time to move on to the next season. Hit the reset button and begin again. I understand how seasons work and so should you. The most successful businesses also understand this as well.
This is why Nishmati will never stay the same or keep doing what we have done every year. I am proud of this aspect. Once Hashem has given me a goal or a purpose for the year, I move on. What is sad, especially with women- is that we do not know how to move in seasons.
We are either impatient and wish for something to come faster than it has or we dwell in the past- not able to move on. I hope and pray that Nishmati becomes an example to women and organizations to keep moving forward. Trust that the results you have had in the past are just what they are- in the past and now you can move on with different results. I have never heard a successful business person say, in 1999 I developed software and it was a success, so I have been producing the same software since then- 20 years later.
NO my friends, it does not work like that. What is successful is to take the developed software of 1999 and upgrade it as computers are upgraded so you are not left with an old version software that CAN NO LONGER RUN twenty years later. hahahaha Sort of like those midlife crises we enter when you start reminiscing on the past-” back in high school I was the football champ or everyone wished to marry me”, etc. If you stay in that mindset, you become delusional and forget about the present time in which you live. We need to reset, refresh and move in sync with our spirit, the season, the universe, the environment we are in and the times we live in.
In the year 2020, we at Nishmati are hitting the reset button. Actually, the whole wide world has been forced to hit the reset button due to the COVID-19 crisis and I am glad. I am prayerfully thankful that the world has had to reset. Many people are rethinking what is essential and that they do not need celebrities or influencers to live. People are spending time with loved ones and children are learning at home with parents. It is a great thing to have joy and gratitude during this time we live in. If you think about it, resetting is so refreshing. Like a stale marriage, renewing the spark of love is what keeps the marriage going for years to come. Reset buttons can do the mind wonders and your business or ministries will benefit tremendously.
As WE SURPASS BOUNDARIES here at Nishmati and embrace our calling and purpose, which has always included fully integrating more inspirational and motivational teachings in our lineup as well as mental health and mindfulness teachings, I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far. And to all of the new people who have found me, thank you as well for being here.
As times change, we must be a spark that ignites change in this world.
Know that Nishmati plans to continue to be a spark, a place that creates peace, a calmful spirit, and purposeful living. I teach mindfulness and minimalism and I love to discuss mental health and how we as humans can help each other in this life on earth. Some people have a hard time coping and understanding why G-d allows certain things, or why they have to go through certain situations. With these subjects being too taboo for religious circles, Nishmati takes mindfulness and mental health at full speed to show everyone that we all need help, encouragement, and for someone to help us learn gratitude.
As the world is in crisis zone due to this new COVID-19 pandemic, know that we are praying for all of you and that you can continue to count on Nishmati to keep it real, truthful and eye-opening during a time that many people are fearful of life. Thank you once again for journeying with us as we embrace our growth and reset. – Love, Keturah
